I wanted to talk a little about LEED and the contributions that lighting and lighting control can provide. With Walmart recently turning "green" the ripple effects have begun to be felt (especially in NWA). Multiple companies are getting on board with LEED certification. This has caused a tremendous response in the design industry. Lighting and lighting control design can lead to approx. 10 - 12 points toward LEED certification. So more than ever, quality lighting design is becoming extremely important to the design process. CHS -By Design, is leading the way. We have the capability to provide calculations to verify light output (even daylight contribution in spaces) to assist with the LEED certification process. We also should have a LEED AP on board by the end of the year to insure you receive knowledgable assistance from us. Just one more way we provide value to your company...
